About the Event
This 1.5-hour live virtual training integrates didactic instruction with guided experiential practice. Grounded in somatic principles and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy®, this workshop explores experimental attitude and client organicity. Participants will enhance their clinical practice by stabilizing their nervous system during moments of activation and applying somatic self-compassion strategies.
The Hidden Physiology of Clinical Pressure...
Have you ever felt hyper-responsibility show up in your body in session- urgency rising in your body, a pressure to fix or save- or, at other times, noticed yourself going foggy, heavy, or withdrawn? These shifts are not personal failures; they are nervous system states. In this training, we explore how hyperarousal and hypoarousal show up in clinicians, and how somatic anchoring and the RAIN of self-compassion practice can restore stability, curiosity, and grounded presence. Participants will learn to recognize and understand these survival states early, regulate intentionally, and return to experimental attitude while honoring organic process in both themselves and their clients.
